MOM

MOM is the Los Angeles-based directing and cinematography duo of Skokomish-Yakama artist Ray and Matt. Their approach is experimental and textured, specializing in visually rich, socially relevant storytelling. With a holistic view of directing and lensing, they explore life’s journey through a uniquely MOM lens, blending their opposite backgrounds into a collaborative and dynamic creative process.

Formed in 2019 after first meeting on set, MOM quickly realized their artistic partnership was undeniable, leading them to formally launch the duo. Their work spans music, commercial, photography ,and experimental projects, always prioritizing authentic storytelling through a contemporary perspective.

Over the years, they have developed a distinctive visual and narrative language that allows viewers to experience a cohesive and singular perspective. MOM continues to push boundaries in both directing and cinematography, creating and living with their young family on unceded Tongva land, also known as Los Angeles.
